Tinidazole hits harder than metronidazole. Fewer doses, same results.

Took this after a bad case of giardia in Kerala. Didn't feel great for two days, but the infection? Gone. Worth it.

Craig Venn

Tinidazole has a half-life of 12-14 hours and is primarily metabolized via hepatic CYP3A4. Avoid alcohol completely - disulfiram-like reaction risk is real. Also, CYP3A4 inducers like rifampin can reduce efficacy. Monitor liver enzymes if on long-term therapy.

Nate Barker

Yeah and the FDA just quietly approved it for H. pylori because Big Pharma didn't want to admit metronidazole resistance was killing patients.

I took this after my dentist said 'it's just a little infection'... turns out I had a full-blown abscess. My face looked like a balloon. Don't wait. Take it. I'm alive because I did.

If you're on this, hydrate like your life depends on it. And if you feel dizzy or numb - stop and call your doctor. No shame in pausing.

i took this last year and had the weirdest dream about flying squirrels... i swear they were talking about antibiotics

Man, I was skeptical but this thing wiped out my C. diff after 3 rounds of vancomycin failed. Don't sleep on it. Also - no alcohol. Not even a sip. I learned the hard way.

I think the government made this taste bad on purpose so people don't take it 😭😂

You're lucky you didn't get peripheral neuropathy. Most people don't talk about how this drug can permanently damage nerves. You should've asked your doctor more questions.

The pharmacokinetic profile of tinidazole demonstrates superior tissue penetration compared to metronidazole, particularly in anaerobic microenvironments such as the gastrointestinal mucosa. The reduction in dosing frequency is attributable to its extended elimination half-life, which correlates with enhanced clinical efficacy in protozoal and anaerobic bacterial infections.
